About Me: An Introduction Into The Wacky World Of An Animal Crazed College Student

Hello,
My name is Matthew Wilson. I am a resident of Fayetteville Arkansas and have many things that I enjoy and love about living here. FIRST and MOST important is my wonderful girlfriend Kylee (http://kylee-weightbegone.blogspot.com/). She is the love of my life, my soul and the main reason I am not totally insane. I love everything about her from her soft brown eyes to her ever so often bare feet. She is the best. Another thing I like about living here is the wacky and crazy hippies that roam these fair streets. There are so many wonderful people here. Some of my favorite local celebrities are, Mrs. Buff (okay, so not a legend to everyone but as far as a friend goes there is no one better. She is also the best damn botany/zoology teacher/ boss/ colleague/ cohort one can have). Some local musicians that I am proud to know and call my friends are Donna Stjerna and Kelly Mulhollan from the folk duo Still on the Hill (http://stillonthehill.com).
Another thing I love is my family which consists of my Mother Teresa, Father Billy, Brother Michael/Steamboat and my little sister Sara. I am very passionate about my relations and value each an every one of my friends. Lets see, some of my best friends are Virginia (Veggie) Buff who is, sadly, away for college at UCA. She is Kylee and My best friend and we love to do outdoorsy stuff with her. My other best friend is KD Mazzanti and pretty much her whole family. I love them. During high school I took them as a surrogate family and have always felt at ease in their presence. I am very protective of my friends and my family so hurt them and we'll see what happens >:[
I am a full time college student :( and I have a "wonderful" job. I work at the Stadium Drive Parking Garage and Intermodal Facility as a "maintenance" worker this basically means that I am a janitor and I pick up other people's crap for a living so if you're ever there please please please don't throw your stuff out for me to pick up. I work with some pretty cool people and I have a few work friends. My friends Ben and Garrett are always entertaining but by far the most colorful and fun person working there is my drag queen friend Tommy or when on stage Felicia Winters. We have a great time avoiding work lol. Sometimes it gets so boring that we even... well never mind, bosses might see and I don't want to get fired.
I am a pretty happy person most of the times and I try to be relaxed and even tempered about most things. I have but two addictions, pets and tattoos. I love animals... all animals from fuzzy mice to scaly snakes to everything in between. I have, at any given time, at least ten+ animals under my care. I have living at my house four dogs, a cat, two mice, two fire-bellied toads, a lizard and another secret pet that I tell no one about. I also have two turtles and a whole bunch of fish. I am an animal freak but its cool because Kylee is too :). At her house we have a rat, a mouse, a guinea pig, two Kenyan Sand Boas and beautiful Brazilian Rainbow Boa. I also have a beautiful Australian Spotted Python. I know... a LOT and over the summer I'm sure the list will get longer. I can't help myself I just love taking care of things and having things to love on.
Tattoos, another weakness but, thankfully, a much more expensive hobby or else I would be nothing but an inky canvas. I currently only have two but I am getting another one with my brother soon and I can't wait. I have a small triquetra on my left ankle and on my upper right calf area I have a beautiful blue and green recycling symbol with the continents on it. I'll post pictures later...
Oh, one more thing. I LOVE little kids. They are another thing that makes me melt. I am a Childhood Education major and I cannot wait to get to work with them as my career. I work at a daycare on the UofA campus and I would do anything for any of my kids there. It was there that I met some of my favorite people and they are growing on me more and more each time I see them. I love the other workers there. Carol, my idol and mentor who has taught me everything I know and has been sooooooo very patient with me as I learn to communicate and care for toddlers. I love her as if she were my own grandma and she is one of my close friends. I look forward to seeing her every time I go to work. She is, bottom line, the best and most patient person I have ever met that works with this difficult age group. I often wonder how she remains a child at heart when she is at a double digit age that begins with 6 and ends with I won't tell you :). She is quite a character and I honestly don't know what I would do if she had never shown me how to appreciate each child as an individual so a billion thanks go to her. Another person who has made me a better child care person is Jenny and she is always offering her humor, support and smile. A mother of a new cute baby girl and a toddler baby girl she is young and fresh. She has good theories and has taught me EVERYTHING literally about babies. Between Carol and Jenny I will never be left out on how to care for kids under three.
A family I met there is the family of a beautiful boy named Jack and a lovely girl named Ella. (www.3girlsandablindguy.blogspot.com) Angela and Scott adopted both of their dream children and are probably some of the best parents I have ever met. I met their son Jack while working at my daycare and fell in love with him from the first minute. As he progressed in his therapy our program at my daycare no longer benefitted him and he moved on but, thankfully, his family liked me enough to allow me to become their babysitter and I have never had a better job. I love all of them and hope to get closer to their family. I kinda already consider them my family already.
Anyway, thats about all right now and I'm sure if you follow me you will learn more about me :). Thanks for reading and feel free to follow and/or message me.

Until Later,
Matt
